Issue: Once checked,the 'Encrypt Password' in the Connection Properties window is not persistently saved as being 'Checked' even though the 'Save password' is checked. I am using Toad Data Point Version 3.7.0.973 with a SAP ASE connection that requires Encrypt Password. The 'Encrypt Password' stays checked for as long as I keep TDP open and during disconnect/reconnect actions. However, once I close TDP and reopen, the password remains saved but the Encrypt Password is unchecked. This creates problems when running automated scripts and requires manual intervention before running schedule scripts. How can I overcome this issue?

Multiple SharePoint lists
We have multiple SharePoint sites with lists. There is a parent with children sites. Each of them have a list. Can/Does TDP support multiple connections to SharePoint? Or, can it only support a connection to the parent site?

Calculate Email Turn Around time
Please help me to make email tat report .
I have two columns email_receive_time (date time stamp)n and email_replied_time (date time stamp) , I wanted to calculate turn around time between the two during office hours only.
Condition is as follows :-
Office timing is 10 am to 7 pm and all those emails received after 7pm would be considered to be received at next day 10 am and those received before 10 am would be considered to be received at same day 10 am .
Also exclude a single holiday in a month : it can be any random day of a month .

Spam posts on the forums
A quick update and apology for users who might have received a number of spam emails from the forums last night. We've had a rash of attempts from a Korean gambling site to post their spam messages to our forums. While we've been quite successful at blocking their attempts, yesterday afternoon as part of the clean-up process to permanently remove these from our system, some accidentally were made visible on the site for a few seconds. This had the unfortunate side-affect of being passed on to users who have their forum subscription set up to receive a notice on every post. My very sincere apologies for that mistake. We'll be much more diligent in our clean-up efforts going forward.

Version Control in Toad for Data Analysts 2.7
Hello,
I'm having trouble configuring TortoiseSVN with Toad for Data Analysts. I know that we're a few versions behind and a project is in place for an upgarde but we're currently stuck with 2.7.
From what I've been reading, I'm following the steps per the recommended install doc. Is there something I'm missing? See the attached pdf for screenshots of my installed software, svn config, and attempted toad setup.
I'm getting an error on the last page of the wizard when it attempts to initialize my working folder: Working directory mismatch. Resolved "", should be "/trunk"

There were two issues raised here, the first few posts are regarding the same or similar issue. However, the resolution appears to have been migrating from an SVN server to a local client.

Source Control Options
Greetings,
I have been asked to move all of our Toad Data Point automations into a central source control repository.
While I can do this by hand, it does make it difficult to manage - we have about 200 active automation scripts, and trying to keep up with all of the changes and ensure they're checked in and documented is going to quickly get behind.
Currently in TDP 3.8, the only version control options are on a database level - while this is quite useful for database objects, it doesn't help with automations or other scripts.
Are there any plans to add version control options for items like Automation scripts? We use Team Foundation Services for our VC.

How to Re-use fixed width import specification ?
I built a import *.tim file for a fixed width file with 75+ fields and it took me 40+ minutes b/c I'm not a surgeon.
I want to build an automation script to import multiple files with the same spec. I assumed you could either add a file to the original *.tim file OR copy the *.tim file and point it to a different file. Apparently the *.tim file spec is tied to the *.fil file you built and saved it with.
How can I reuse the fixed with spec in my *.tim file?
Just experimenting I looked at the FOLDER option which I've never used and it indicates that it will import all files with the same file extension in the folder, but again I have to rebuild the spec and not only that , the spec build point and click doesn't seem to work. (i wont go into those details here).

Toad Data Point Automation Disappears after saving
I am using Toad Data Point 3.4, and recently upgraded to 3.5, but the behavior I describe below occurs in both versions...
I can create an automation script, run it, then save it. If I close it, and then click File--> Open, and open the Automation script that I just saved, it doesn't pull anything up. Its as-if it disappeared. When I say it doesn't pull anything up, I mean that the different items I had included in the Automation Script (Select to File, If.. Conditions, Send Email, etc.), are simply no longer showing.
The weird thing is, if I browse through Windows Explorer and find the actual automation script file (the .tas file), right-click and select Edit, it will open in Notepad. And while viewing in Notepad, I DO see all of the details of my automation script there (the fields from my Select to File, the If.. Conditions, etc.) So my point is, the data is in file, but it just won't show up when I open the file in Toad. When I open the script in Toad, it basically looks like a blank Automation that you are starting from scratch.
Has anyone else experienced this, and hopefully know how to solve it? If not, all of the automations I create are essentially pointless because they are basically one-time-use only for me. Once I close them, they're gone forever.

Did you select "auto fit columns" in advanced export properties?
Could you show us a screenshot of the difference between 3.7 and 3.8? How does "cells of the first row (containing title) are systematically unmerged with Center option preserved."

Latest Beta will not run previous Templates
I upgraded to the latest Beta this morning and my exports to SharePoint will no longer run. I get the following error.
"The type initializer for ‘System.Net.ServicePointManager’ threw an exception, Export is cancelled."
Is there a work around, or, do I need to revert back to the previous beta version?

How to query date and time in the same data table in TDP 3.8
My current results show as Date = 5/1/2016 6:54:07 AM and Time = 5/1/2016 6:54:07 AM
This problem comes in due to default date format settings for all date columns.

Problem with Scheduling a Email task
I'm trying to schedule an Email task in the Automation Designer. When the scheduled time is reached, it seems that it triggers the task, but it just hangs. When I check in the Windows Task Scheduler, the status of this task is "Running", and it just stays like that forever. I then have to manually end it. When I run the task manually, it works ok. Please advise

Can data point connect to a Salesforce sandbox?
Hi all,
Does anyone know data point can connect to a Salesforce sandbox? Site is: cs15.salesforce.com
I've tried via the:
Corporate credentials..... all I get is: Authorization successful & a token. When I try then to connect, I get a data service database error:
"Invalid data source definition: 400 bad request: invalid_grant (authentication failure).
Tried the Manual single sign in.... followed the steps & I get the same error message.
I haven't tried the credentials tab as I don't have the security token.
Any ideas?

Need help in Customizing the Visual chart
Currently the chart is being prepared with help of Python, now we need to generate the same from Visualization feature in TOAD Data point and automate.
I can able to create simple chart from grid, but i would like to customize the default one.
My data is very simple, eg: Employee#, Revenue last month, Revenue current month. The chart should be count of employees against each revenue Bucket or Interval.
Count of Employee should go in Y axis with Intervals 5 or 10, and the Revenue Intervals in X axis (with 100$ Million interval) with Bar or Stacked Bar type.
The problem is my chart takes the Revenue into Y axis and Employee # in X axis which i don't want, and instead of emp# i want the count of employees under that revenue range.

"SQL Server Database Error" when attempting to view tables in new SQL Server connection
When our group was running a trial version of TOAD Data Point, our connection to our server through the SQL Server worked fine. Since then, we purchased the product, but there was a lapse of a few weeks, and during this time the server migrated.
We were able to make the new connection, and everything appears fine, until we attempt to open the tables. Then we get the following error:
Database Error
X SQL Server Database Error
VIEW DATABASE STATE permission denied in database 'X'.
The user does not have permission to perform this action.
Here's a screenshot:
We can get to this database and work with these tables in Microsoft Access, and we can also connect with these tables using the ODBC Generic connection, although we want to keep our data as SQL Server-parallel as possible. It worked before, so we aren't sure why it's no longer working.
Anybody know what gives?

Selecting Schema from HIve Driver
I am trying to connect Toad Data Point 3.6 to Hive, but the connection driver will not allow me to change different schemas. I can connect, but only get the default schemas. Any ideas how I can change the schemas?

"ORA-12154: TNS could not resolve the connect identifier" when trying to connect to Oracle database
Hi!
When I try to connect to an Oracle database I get this error message: "ORA-12154: TNS could not resolve the connect identifier" when using TNS
I am connection to other Oracle database with no problems.
I get the same error message in PL/SQL Developer.
In Oracle SQL Developer however I have no problems.
Anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this?

Missing duplicates in Data Compare
I'm working on merging two oracle databases and are using Toad Data Point to analyse the content in the tabels. In som cases, when the colomn is a varchar colomn, data point can't find the duplicates. I insert two files with snaps from the same table, to show this. As you can see, klassekode A og B i found, bud klassekode 2 and 3 is not found.
Is there a way to get around this problem?
